If you are looking for education in water exercise you have come to the right place.  Hydro-Actif offers certifications, workshops, seminars and conventions in water exercise and all courses will give you REPS points.  Hydro-Actif also offer CECs for the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) and CPDs for the Swimming Teachers Association (STA).  More venues, more workshops and the annual Speedo Convention (now in it's 10th year) at Nottingham University in August all offer current information and education for all levels of instructors.

Over the last decade over 4500 instructors have been trained using the Speedo system and this programme focusing primarily on shallow water with the Speedo Shallow Certification is still extremely popular and the perfect route for gym instructors and swimming teachers to obtain an entry-level certification.  There are 16 venues from September to December for you to choose from – please check the relevant page on the website to find your nearest location. 

However, there must be many instructors in the UK who would like to learn more in-depth information about water exercise training.  Steph is very proud to be the UK instructor trainer for the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) and offers their certification at various venues throughout the year.  This globally recognised certification is available in Harrow on Sunday 1st June and in Birmingham on Sunday 26th October 2008.  This certification benefits greatly from some home study and even if you are not sure about taking the qualification this year I thoroughly recommend that you consider purchasing the brand new AEA manual.

Deep-water exercise seems to be growing exponentially at present.  Hydro-Actif are offering three venues this session for the Speedo Deep Certification in Burntisland, Fife on Sunday 27th April, Witham, Essex on Sunday 13th July and Preston, Lancashire on Sunday 20th July 2008. 

The popular Antenatal and Postnatal workshop, tutored by our physiotherapist Caroline, will now only take place at one venue in the UK - Greens,  Croydon, Surrey.  We have two dates for 2008 - 14th and 15th June and 8th and 9th November 2008.

This year is our 10th Speedo Annual Convention at Nottingham University and Steph is very proud to be bringing over a guest presenter from the US, Craig Stuart.  Craig is the founder of Hydro-Fit and a certified fitness professional with AEA, ACE and AFAA.    He will be offering two fantastic workshops, "Aqua High Energy" and "Infinite Choreography" and Steph will be presenting the masterclasses "Deep, Deep, Deeper" and "Single Hand Buoy Solutions".  A fantastic day out - it will give you loads of new ideas for your classes!  You really can't afford to miss it.  Remember to book early though as there is a discounted Early Bird price and a discount for booking online.
